After living in loungewear for the most part of the year, we’re eager to swap out our sweats and joggers and jump back into our plus size fashion-forward looks. If you’re like me who loves hopping onto the latest trends, you’ll be itching to see what spring/summer holds and what you can get your hands on. There’s nothing more exciting than opening new parcels right?
We’ve done the hard work for you and rounded up the trends predicted to take spring/summer 2021 by fashion storm.
1. Feel-Good Florals
The hardest working print in your wardrobe. We reach for florals all year round but even more so in the warmer months, swapping out darker hues for a bolder and brighter impact. We’re expecting to see statement florals in all shapes and styles from smock tops and floaty dresses to wide leg trousers.

2. Pretty Pastels

3. Spring Knits
Don’t pack away your knitwear just yet! Sleeveless knits are taking over our Insta feed and they’re not going anywhere. They’re a staple layering piece that you can pop a long sleeve top on underneath or wear on it’s own on as a statement.

4. Light Layering
The biggest trend to enter your outerwear collection and the most used word in our vocab – the shacket. We’re not ready to let go of this wardrobe staple and neither is spring/summer. Styled with a simple tee and jeans, a basic dress, buttoned up with flared leggings – the options really are endless. This season you’ll find them in lighter palettes and monochrome checks to tie your whole look together.

5. Monochrome
This trend is predicted to be huge this year and we’re welcoming it with open arms. You really can’t go wrong with a classic monochrome print and this gingham dress is giving us all the picnic date vibes. The long sleeves are perfect for giving extra warmth when you still need a bit of coverage, with your favourite smock hem rounding off the look.
We love how our girl is rocking it with chunky boots and tights for an effortless throw-on-and-go look that we all want.
6. Baggy Denim
If you’ve been keeping up-to-date with the latest denim, you’ll find the leg styles are getting baggier, wider and even more flattering. We’re expecting to see baggy denim as a key trend this season with our skinny jeans taking a backseat for the time being.
